Re: Is more dedicated memory to gaming chip better for Leela

I noticed that some pc come with options of memory size for the gaming card. I'm not talking about ram. For example, GTX 1650 (4GB vs 8GB) Would more dedicated memory to the chip make a significant difference (or any) to Leela's playing strength? Very minimal (5 to 20 elo) in bullet and blitz. A bi...

Oh, I completely missed the handicap (90 minutes Leela v 9 minutes Stockfish)
In such big hardware like 88 cores at 9 min blitz TC, it might be approx 70 elo handicap . Current result vs others

Still double kill to Komodo - 2-0
Still 2 draw to full strength SF - 1-1

Re: Leela' pawn give away party!

Wow, do you have a way to send this game to kingscrusher? I'd think he'd love to review it on his youtube channel! KC will definately get this game, there is lots of leela fanboies in leela discord that will send to KC. Another leela win game, so the score is 3-1 against handicapped SF. [Event "TCE...

Re: Regium Chess — Most likely an elaborate SCAM!!

The project was cancelled. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/soontech/regium-automatic-chess-e-board-0 It is good for kickstarter to maintain their reputation. There are people who collected details to present media. They push the kickstarter to stop the scam or spread the news via dailymail etc.

Re: Leela CPU becomes Top 5 engine

Currently LC0 CPU is on par with Komodo 13+ (dev cersion).

Probably she can be on par with Stockfish in next year.

Re: Lc0 node count and playing strength

My estimation is , OP should get around 80-100 nps in his hardware.

1. The processing power = 3x slower
2. No cuda support = 8x slower

2000÷24= 83 nps.

Re: Lc0 node count and playing strength

With Stockfish or similar CPU engines it is easy to see how "deep" an engine has calculated, either by looking at the search depth or by looking at the total nodes calculated. In practice the search depth is the better indicator as the number is nicer and makes more sense for humans. One could day ...
