Breaking news from Caruana, Leela is essential part of his preparation

https://twitter.com/chessdom/status/1060841130282094592 In last year interview, Caruana said , it would worth buying Alpha Zero for $100k, but practically can he get Leela Zero for $0 now. (One Leela tester tested that , A0 and Lco hass exactly same strength in case they were running on home hardwa...

Re: Stockfish 9 on iOS ?

Thanks, this is exactly what I wanted ! I wonder how fast/strong it will be on the iPad Pro 11 !? SF 9 on the new iPad Pro will be *far* stronger than any human on the planet, that's for sure. Here are some comparisons of the A12X cpu to other commonly used CPUs: https://bgr.com/2018/11/01/new-ipad...

Re: One piece sacrifice by Leela at move 12. (she gains material back in 50 ply later)

SF finds 12.gh6 quickly and with an advantage. It has more trouble finding 9.g4 and 10.Rg1 - but I don't know if those moves are best. She always love such 6.g4 !! (she does such attack whenever black plays h6??) .Here is vs Houdini 6. [Event "CCC 2: Blitz Battle (5|2)"] [Site "Chess.com"] [Date "2...

Re: Strange loss by LC0 at CCCC

That neural network ID has wrong policy head, that means suicidal. Leela didnt see 83.Kd5 ?? was losing until 1.6 million positions have been searched by MCTS! Although 1.6 million positions may take 1 sec for AB engines, it will take about 1000 secs for Leela. (Leela's strength is positional evalua...
