Re: log-in problems by Volodymyr, author of Igel engine

Hello admins/moderators, he said: Thanks for the link! Any hope someone on the forum will activate my user name so that I can do a proper intro to a project? : ) My user name (that does not get activated) on talkchess is voffka, so I wonder if you can ask any moderators if they are blocking me on p...

Re: Potential forum software update (at last)

Only CTF is being considered for pruning - the archive value is pretty much all on this side of the board. If the only way to get the upgrade done is to trim the oldest posts on CCC as well, it should be possible to post an archive like Sean Mintz did back when ... but here's hoping it doesn't come ...

Potential forum software update (at last)

It's easy to miss announcements or stickies at the top of the forum - there is a fresh one posted here and in CTF regarding a possible upgrade. I have suggested that we voluntarily prune all but the last year or so out of CTF to get the database down to a size that will allow a successful upgrade. C...

Re: ** Moderator Election - Members Vote Here **

From Greg Simpson's moderation philosophy post in another thread: I also accepted before the deadline, but Sam didn't post it immediately. We all agree on moving posts, as you can see by looking in the relevant thread. I'm struggling to find any significant reason to choose one of us over the others...

Re: New Moderation Procedures

I'm confused about how this process works. You are supposed to nominate people, who accept or decline the nomination, and then there is an election. But since you can't nominate yourself, how do others know you are willing? Are individuals supposed to PM people and campaign to be nominated? The sti...

Re: New Moderation Procedures

For those who tend to skip over the announcements and stickies at the top of the board, moderator elections are underway. Nominations are being accepted through Sunday; polls will be open the following week.

Thanks,

Re: Interesting Chess Cheating Article by Pandolfini

Do Chess Players Cheat? The comments written at the bottom of the article by Chess.com members are interesting too :) I imagine CCC won't let you post this as it's off topic (not computer chess) but actually it is computer chess. I imagine no one has responded is likely due to cheating in chess and...

CCC moderators re-elected by default

Since there were no other confirmed candidates nominated, your current CCC moderation team will be serving for another term.

Thanks,
