Re: CCRL 40/40, 40/4 and FRC lists updated (16th February 2019)

No learning is allowed during the course of running an engine. Prior fixed learning is allowed. I can't think of any examples at the moment. Any testing an engine author does prior to release is in effect learning. I guess the exception is if the learning file is essentially an opening book, then th...

I know a lot depends on the actual GPU, and benchmarking that can become tricky, but maybe a 'most com...

Re: Lc0 and future of rating lists

It is certainly difficult for an equal hardware list, where equality is based on CPU benchmarks. SSDF is in the best position, they have engines listed running on different hardware already. No issues for them at all.

Re: The Baron 3.44 (New Version)

Testing now underway for the chess960 ratings list. Thank you Richard for spending the time to fix chess960 support. It will be good to get a more recent version than 3.29 on the list :)

Re: The Baron 3.44 (New Version)

I'm not so sure that would work. As soon as Defender does a scheduled scan it would quarantine it again, and when you try to run it you may have problems as well. But I'm pretty sure Defender allows you to specify files that you want it to ignore, so that is probably the answer.
