Re: Testposition for participation on the wccc 2017.

when i formerly analysed this position my conclusion was that Bxa3 ?! was not a loosing move...just an inferior move compared to Bd6 but i cant remember anymore how seriously my investigation was at this time...it was quite serious but not incredibly deep i think...anyways...my conclusion was : prob...

Re: Sting SF 16

hello Marek, i tried your "autoplay-mode" myself and it works excellently, very intereting to juggle with it ! one question: is it possible for me to use my complete 4 threads that i have to let Sting autoplay positions... if so, how ? ah...beside this: is it possible to abbort the autoplay-process ...

Re: One more issue with king safety/attack for Stockfish

yes, when i use only 1 core (but 1024 hash as before) SF needs about 2,5 minutes to find Qg6 at depth 35 as you assumed ! but if i switch back to 4 cores (hash cleaned, Arena-GUI restarted) it always takes only 10 to 20 seconds to find Qg6...quite strange...i used SF BYO (Stockfish Build on Your Own...

Re: One more issue with king safety/attack for Stockfish

i dont wanna talk away the problems SF has when it comes to sacrifices in terms of make kings naked but "my" latest SF ("Fix bench", Sun Jul 14 15:21:08 2019 +0200 by MC) finds Qg6 in about 13 seconds (tried 2 times) on an old APU 7870k-4 cores-CPU while SF10 needs much longer in this particular cas...

Re: 7 Man Syzygy and SSD

as far as i know u can easily store the DTZ on a HDD (maybe even USB id believe) !?
if im wrong on this someone will correct me surely.
1,9 TB is a lot, i have only 342 GB of WDL7 which is pretty much sufficient in most cases in terms of verifying a win/draw :-)

Re: is this an issue with missing DTZ ?

@ syzygy: yes thats correct: with multiPV=5 last SF-dev's are showing: lose, lose, draw, lose, lose ...insane but true (here on my pc at least)

@Louis: thanks for the related link...seems like a bug indeed from my pov :-(
