Re: Engines playing Musketeer Chess, good price

I have fixed all bugs including pinned pieces and promotions and now it matches all your perfts. I still don't like the pinned piece logic though -- it means gating is not really uncovering a piece. Also since I allow king captures (and do not check legality of move beforehand) in, pinning was a bi...

Re: best server for computers to play variants currently?

Does anyone know of a chess engine that can be used for a chess variant that uses a circular board? My game, Castle Siege Chess, uses a board that merges a 6x6 square board into the center of a circular board. I have previously used Zillions of Games script to program it with high success, but Zill...

Re: New release: rofChade 2.1

Just noticed this post containing some issues regarding PyChess can't install rofChade.
This is because PyChess fails to parse the invalid(!) option line rofChade emits:

option name SyzygyProbeDepth type spin default default 0 min 0 max 127

Notice the 2x "default"!

Re: Chess for Android: version 6.1.1

Seems there is some interest on using Chess for Android with DGT + lichess.org also. https://lichess.org/forum/general-chess-discussion/use-of-dgt-boards-on-lichessorg The only problem(?) that DGT usage on lichess have to use BOT API, so you can't play with your normal account if you use it. https:/...

Re: Chess for Android: version 6.1.1

Just let you know that PyChess has FICS (block mode) and ICC (datagram style protocol) support at https://github.com/pychess/pychess/tree ... pychess/ic
Feel free to borrow any code/ideas from there :)

Re: Chess for Android: FICS client in alpha

Unfortunately FICS (and ICC also) is slowly dying as it loses users to more modern chess servers. Just take a look at https://www.ficsgames.org/stats.html year by year. I myself playing on lichess.org in latest years. It's getting better and better because it is open source and developed actively at...
