Re: Tunguska 1.1 STS test results - improve eval

Yep, I'll try these things out. Actually, I have disabled many eval terms, either because they are not tuned or because they lose ELO. Mobility is a example that loses ELO. Re: Nice Mate in 4 that I missed at the finish line

Isn't it a slightly longer mate?

Bf2+ Qxf2 Nh5+ Kxg4 Qxf2 and although White is getting mated in a few moves the immediate mate (Rh4#) can be prevented with a knight move

Re: The Last Survivor of AB engine, Stockfish! What position will Stockfish stand?

Update, after 176+ games (out of 600)! Leela still maintain No 1. To summarize (wins only): Lc0 vs SF 7-5 Lc0 vs Leelenastein 8-1 Lc0 vs Antifish 17-2 SF vs Lc0 5-7 SF vs Leelenstien 12-2 SF vs Antifish 12-7 For me the interesting points are: A) The inclusion of Antifish seems to help Lc0 significa...

Re: TCEC season 13, 2 NN engines will be participating, Leela and Deus X

Well, there is extreme high possibility that Deus X authour is Deep Junior Authour, Shay Bushinsky. https://www.aaai.org/ojs/index.php/aimagazine/article/view/2255 So you will be seeing updated version(work of art) of Junior!! :D :) No - you're wrong, but my lips are sealed. What about Tence...

Re: NUCLEUS

I'm really glad this is getting more attention. There is much scope for research here, and different schemes could also be tried. One option which would be most useful IMHO would be to divide the resources by CPU, i.e. run the slaves concurrently on different CPUs. There is potentially more to gain ...

Re: Chess Tools > Nucleus 0.0.1 beta

You may describe here the chess tools/utilities that you need. Hey Ferdy! I have always dreamed of an adapter that is able to play chess games by taking into account suggestions from other engines, very similar to ProDeo's MASTER.ENG concept. An initial implementation would work as follows: User te...

Re: Official Release of Ethereal9.00

Hello Again Everyone, Today I am announcing the release of Ethereal9.00. It's been a wild ride since adding lazy SMP a few months ago in order to participate in TCEC. A big thanks to Knight Moves and Anton for having me. It's provided inspriation for a few patches, and for a handful of bug fixes. L...
