You have raised very good points. In the next few days (I've job commitments), I'll collect and write down my thoughts and I'll make a proposal about how I would organize such an event.

I hope others will do the same.

Re: Why don't we organize a World Computer Chess Campionship

(eg Alex Newman has even developed a tool which dissasembles an exe and looks for Ippo patterns) And please, I'm not criticizing ICGA for the Rybka affair Two identical points looked at from a different perspective. How ever getting started tripping. Where is democracy and justice, even when. Sorry...

I consider a World Championship not a tournament that establish the absolute best player, but simply a tournament whose winner is called World Champion, like in any other sp...

Re: AdInfinity Chess Engine (UCI)

As predicted, here comes the wave of Stockfish clones/derivatives

Nobody says it's weak. It's only 250-270 points weaker than current strongest engines. (CEGT 40/4 - CEGT 40/120).

Re: Hiarcs withdraws from TCEC Season 6

I would not be surprised to see classic engines come out in two versions in the future. In their original form for unique play and an engine tournament version which includes Rybka/IPPOLIT additions made to it. The classic will still be used for the purest/chess lover and the modified one that does...

Re: DiscoChek is written from scratch?

Please don't talk to me about these idiotic similarity tests. They prove nothing. What they especially fail to do is demonstrate the ABSENCE of foreign code. I can assure you that anyone (even the lease competent programmer) can take Stockfish, tear it down and modify the eval enough so that it pas...
