Re: Latest lc0-win-20180604-cuda92-cudnn714-experimental EXCELLENT

a quick linear regression from ID323 to ID379 shows a 0.551 average ELO gain per ID (p-value ~0%, but R^2 = 0.35 only...)

evidence hints at some climbing still going on, but a lot of noise as well.

Re: Lc0 NN329 against Houdini 4 in 2 LTC games

From LC0 games at TCEC vs. these ones just reported, I seem to see an enormous difference between running leela on GPU vs CPU, about ~400 ELO.

Is this right, or am I just late to the party? :D

Probably not in time for winning, but the times are changing.

In any case, good to know Mark and Larry "silence" was due to major updates :)

Re: Stockfish penalty for bad bishop patches

not just vs A0, but in general.. SF eval tends to go nuts a pawn up with opposite-colored bishops, when it's pretty clear to the human eye it's draw

Re: Can a human still defeat Leela ?

Beat ID 231 today on easy after a couple of tries. It rushed to an unsound rook trade in a QGA and ended up dropping the queen side.

Re: ICGA Prize Fund - 5000 Euro

I think Mark meant that suggestions should be sent to David Levy :)

Personally I'd prefer WCCC and WCSC to be peer events, i.e. with same prize-money.

Re: Can a human still defeat Leela ?

I managed to scrap a few games on easy the other day. It beat me like 10-to-2 in the end though.

Great job by Kai, as always. But what's up with that new pic? You look like a guy who just finished filming an A-team blow-up scene :D
