Re: Syzygy 7 piece GUI support

What is there to support? Adjudication? I consider that evil anyway. Engines that do not support EGT should not get free (half)points just because a difficult win or difficult-to-hold draw in theory are what they are with perfect play. And engines that do support EGT should be able to move instantl...

Syzygy 7 piece GUI support

Do any of the chess GUIs now support 7 piece Syzygy? I know engines like Stockfish and Komodo do, but what about the GUI itself?

Re: Komodo 12.3 is out

Hi Larry, why MCTS search in Komodo is non-determinicstic despite using 1 thread only? I see some randomness during the search. Each run gives slightly different output. For example Leela's search is deterministic on single thread. Here is Komodo 12.3 on 1 CPU in starting position: First run: 0.02:...

Re: Komodo 12.3 is out

Also please note that although 12.3 MCTS is still nearly a hundred elo below normal 12.3, it can already defeat 12.3 if both are in MultiPV = 2 (or more) mode. For this reason, I have switched to using the MCTS version myself when analyzing games or opening s. "Version 12.3 will probably be the las...

Re: Komodo 12.3 is out

Larry or Mark, I'm getting an error when trying to download 12.3. I purchased 12.2.2 so I'm eligible. My Account is, indeed, showing me the 12.3 folder. But when I click on download 12.3, I get this: Not Found The requested URL /play/komodo-12.3-ee4a9c9a.zip was not found on this server. Apache/2.4...

Re: Komodo 12.3 is out

Unfortunately MCTS version of Komodo 12.3 is buggy. The engine will not respond sometimes during 12-13 moves, and will stop ponder, when it is its turn to move. Infinity Chess server. The picture I will show you is where Komodo was thinking for almost 5 min ( no ponder) on its move and it still hav...

Re: Komodo free

I'm sorry to ask you. When will the new free version of Komodo engine. The men from Komodo stopped at 9 and have not made any available for a long time. I sent ebay a takedown notice. Thanks for reporting this to us. You can email us directly next time so as not to advertise the pirates. I would be...

Re: Komodo 12.2.2 Release

Going offline didn't change a thing. Komodo is running full throttle on ChessBase15 but getting nowhere (low depths). No one else has reported this to us so far. I sent you a private message asking you to send us a screenshot of settings. We might need to have you turn on the logging function in Ko...

Re: Komodo 12.2.1

It brings me no pleasure to report a new and I believe serious bug: Under Fritz GUI, engine match, Komodo 12.2.1 does not release one of the threads and continues to use the CPU *on opponent’s time* with NO PONDER selected. This behavior does not start immediately; it appears to kick in at some poi...
