Re: Laptop for Leela

HI Brian! Thanks for the reply. I actually own a RTX 2080 in desktop. Very happy with its performance. Sometimes when I travel to tournaments, the internet is a bit sloppy so remote connectivity gets affected. Hence, was looking for a backup alternative. In that case, would you suggest going for 207...

Laptop for Leela

Hello Everyone!
I am considering buying a new laptop with RTX cards.

I have two options:
Lenovo Y740, which comes with Rtx 2070MaxQ & Lenovo Y540 which comes with RTX 2060. Which one would you recommend? Is 2070MaxQ better than laptops 2060 GPU?

Thanks!

Re: AMD RYZEN 2950 Speed issue

P.S- When I run Stockfish at 16cores and LC0 with 2 cores. The temp goes up to 68-70. Is it normal? I use Kraken x62 liquid cooling. I am running at 32 threads, with Lc0. My current temp is 63c. When I run with only 16 threads, and Lc0. My temp runs 55c. As I said before you are hitting the TJmax o...

Re: AMD RYZEN 2950 Speed issue

I updated the bios and it seems to have helped the case. Now I get the following speed. Is it normal? I somehow feel that the speed gain should be more than 8k. To get more you will need to overclock the system. And this voids the warranty. But is low risk. In the ryzen master software since you do...

Now I get the following speed. Is it normal? I somehow feel that the speed gain should be more than 8k. Do you realize you have 16 physical cores? You can'r run 2x faster with hyperthreading. ~1.3x is normal. Yes, I understand that there are 16 Physical Cores. I felt that my rig is underperforming ...

Re: Lc0 settings for Leela on GPU- Nvidia RTX 2080

Thank you, everyone, for their valuable inputs. I put 4 threads and changed backend to fp16. It seems to be working fine. What is the ideal way to see its speed?

Lc0 settings for Leela on GPU- Nvidia RTX 2080

Hi guys,
The title says it all. Could anyone tell me what are the ideal settings for lc0 on the GPU, RTX 2080. I have downloaded the lc0 0.21 version and the network 32930.

P.S the processor is Ryzen thread ripper 2950x, if it matters.

Thanks!
