I would definitely recommend one of the Italian Certabo boards that have a led on every square which the DGT boards don't. Their software runs on a PC plus you can also connect to Aart Bik's Chess for Android app. A software update was released a few days ago, details below and details of their boar...

I have always enjoyed visiting the World Computer Chess Championships whenever possible and always will. This is a really enjoyable tournament and is always exciting to watch plus you get to meet so many really nice people who have a passion for computer chess like myself. Long may it continue!

King is approx 2.5" night.
The smallness of the pieces is supposed to be so the pieces don't collide with one another when the knights move and when you castle.

Unfortunately the programming of the sliding pieces isn't on par with the old Fidelity or Excalibur Phantoms. Pieces sometimes slightly bump into other pieces and other times the pieces aren't positioned in the middle of the squares. Every time I ask when a software update is going to be released I ...
