Re: Komodo 14 released.

In the everyman book "understanding the sacrifice" from 2002, in the chapter exchange sacrifices, the author brings up a fine example of the piece constallation RB vs NNP. If the bishop is tampared or just plain bad, often the knight duo is capable to put up some resistance. Just like bishop and kni...

Re: Leela crushes any resistance in this position

Tried a couple of games in 30m+30s format with contempt at 0 and 36 (+50% in contempt) both ended in draw. Strangely SF does not treat the bishop as a problem.

Re: Leela crushes any resistance in this position

It's not necessarily a won position, as long white play precisely, it may turn out that white can hold. Leela selfplay ended in a quick draw. And SF Dev with -30 surprisingly held against Leela. It seems that negative contempt is required for SF to be able to hold. [Event "i7-5960X 4.5GHz / 2x 2080 ...

Re: Leela crushes any resistance in this position

Definitely,Black has to play accurate moves to get to the finish line .... I don't think it's enough for Black to play accurately. White has also to play inaccurately for Black to win. Then we can ask how can white address the problem bishop on h2 without compromising the stability of the position....

Re: Generating all 6-men EGDB (Chessmaster).

As i use Chessmaster for nostalgic reasons and for capture some renders with cool chess sets. I don't see the need of using EGTBs with chessmaster. For most people it's obsolete but still okey GUI to use.
