Re: Ryzen 9 3950x with 37 HT cores??

I rerun benchmark tests with asmFishW_2017-05-22 popcount The results AMD Ryzen Treadripper 2950x Motherboard ASROCK X399 Taichi 16 x 4.0 GHz fixed, core performance boost is OFF, SMT (=HT) is OFF, RAM 32GB 3000 MHz, XMP profile = 2 Benchmark ~30 Mn/sec AMD Ryzen 9 3950x Motherboard GIGABYTE X570 UD...

Re: Ryzen 9 3950x with 37 HT cores??

I just build a PC with Ryzen 9 3950x When I run the Ipman-test (special bench of asmFishW 17.05.22) It showed 37 SMT/HT threads! What is this? The asmFishW obviously calculate bench for 37 threads what yield bad Bench-results. Maybe this is the cause why among the bench-value there are lot of "tele...

Re: Ryzen 9 3950x with 37 HT cores??

I try the Ipman chess bench on Threadripper 2950x (12 x 4GHz) with the same results.
So asmFishW can not recognize exactly the number of physical + virtual cores and it would RECALCULATE the average nodes/seconds results for the existing cores.

Re: Lc0 speedup using CUDA 11

I seem to get about a 15% gain in nps by upgrading to the latest CUDA 11 Runtime. But do not upgrade to cuDNN v8.0.1 RC2 (June 26th, 2020) for CUDA 11.0. That one reduces nps by about 50%. Stick with Cudnn version: 7.6.5 $ ./lc0 benchmark --num-positions=1 _ | _ | | |_ |_ |_| v0.26.0 built Jul 9 20...

It would be good if developer of Leela would let out the source of Leela without bugs.
This would be good for all software, everywhere.
Na jah
But it is a more serious issue if the bugs block the compilation of that program.

If you dont have v26 Leela engine, it is definately worth installing. Leela can see Mate in xxx now. ... V26 is just released after S18 TCEC, Here is someone's opinion regarding New Leela running in TCEC bonus games (copy from fishcooking post). "AFAIK nobody asked that TCEC use mainline openings. ...

Leela ver0.26.0 and her time managers

There are three time manager in Leela 0.26.0
- legacy,
- alphazero,
- smooth.
I would like to know its parameters and what is optimal usage of the time managers.
Note
Because of some bug in the source at present in my binary only the legacy and smooth work.
