Re: Scorpio MCTS+NN: What are the strongest nets?

I have never really measured its strength honestly because all I do is check if it works by running it through a set of epd positions. I have nets trained from about 25000 games (actually set of epd positions) called nets-epd and from about 0.7 million CCRL games (nets-ccrl) that can be downloded h...

Scorpio MCTS+NN: What are the strongest nets?

Maybe this is best for Daniel...

Big fan of your engine lately.

Don't care how strong it is honestly, but I like playing AGAINST human-like opponents.

Scorpio has been a fun test recently.

What nets would you recommend I use?

Anyone else know?

And where to download them?

Re: Fritz 13 SE?

I've just splashed out on ChessBase's Fritz 16 package. It comes with "Fritz 13 SE" already installed (as well as Fritz 16 aka Rybka 4.1). The engine dialog says it's a native ChessBase engine by "Franz Morsch". It has a few options and can only uses one thread. I've done a brief search and can't f...

Re: Chess.com 2018 computer chess championship

Being a member of chess.com for 10 years. I pay $0.00 . It is absoultely free. I played 22,000 online blitz+ bullets games, there is no difference for free users vs premium user in competitive game play There are millions of other users who dont pay $0.00 like me. Being a freemium business model, p...

Re: Which top 2775+ player has the record of not losing any game?

Something to beat: Capablanca was undefeated for eight years from 10 February 1916 to 21 March 1924. One year: a joke! It must be said that Capablanca played relatively far fewer games during that 8 year stretch, which partially spanned WWI, than modern GMs do these days. In an era where he'd likel...

Re: Scorpio 2.8.7 MCTS+NN windows version

Hi, I have made some significant work with GPU acceleration of NN evaluation in this version. Multi-threaded batching as I have described in the programming section helps a lot and now scorpio can be launched with upto 256 threads even on a 4-core machine and a single GPU and perform well. I get 10...

Re: Official Release of Ethereal 11.00

Hello all, I'm here again to announce a new official release of Ethereal, this time version 11.00. It has been almost two months, 45 patches, and 25 million test games without a release. Time to make things official once again :) I am confident that this version will safely secure the position as s...

Re: Rodent III 0.273 - official release

Thank you, Andreas, I'll follow your recommendation. The odd thing is I'd run thousands of games with previous versions, starting with v0.210, at default settings and never had a forfeit. After replaying those four games the score is Rank Name Elo + - games score oppo. draws 1 Rodent III 0.238 64-b...

Re: Rodent III 0.273 - official release

Is available at http://www.pkoziol.cal24.pl/rodent/download.htm With AppVeyor builds, the notion of official release is a bit blurry, so I guess I should step in to make the testers busy. This version builds on TCEC experience, which has shown that Rodent needs better multithreaded code. The curren...
