Marvin 5.0.0
Marvin 5.0.0 is now available. The big change in this release is the switch to NNUE based evaluation. In my tests it is about 60 elo stronger compared to the previous version. A default network file is included in the binary package. Just put the file in the same directory as the executable and it s...

Marvin 4.0.1
This is a bug fix release that fixes a few annoying issues. Depending on time control it may be a few elo stronger or a few elo weaker compared to 4.0.0. For rating lists I don't see a need to test this release if you have already tested 4.0.0. Change: * Reverted time management changes introduced i...

Re: Pytorch NNUE training
Maybe I am missing something but this script generates the fen position in the output file, right? I'm looking at write_position method. I think my question is what is the format of the bin file used for training? I guess I can figure it out from the data loader, but wondering if there's something ...

Re: Pytorch NNUE training
I have a question, from what I understood this trainer loads the data from binary files, how do you generate those files? using nodchip's SF trainer code? The output is generated in a format for SF. If I want to use in my engine would have to port it, right? If you want to generate training data in...

Re: 14th ACCA World Computer Rapid Chess Championships
14-15 of November doesn't work for me. All other dates are fine.

Re: Marvin 4.0.0
I had massive problems with Fischer time control I am using, 20 minutes per game and 5 seconds per move. Marvin used to much time from the 20 minutes for the first moves and lost some games in late middlegame without to have enough time (the 5 seconds only). I read on your site that you improved th...

Re: Marvin 4.0.0
The RESIGN feature has not been there for a long time. It was removed already for the 2.0.0 release.
