Chessmaster GM Personalities

Hi chessfriends, I bought a King Element - chesscomputer for christmas. The King element includes the tuning feature, making it possible to partly duplicate* the old CM personalities by simply matching the settings. I am very interested in the GMs settings (Fischer, Morphy, Steinitz, Lasker, Capabla...

Re: Maia chess - the holy grail for computer chess?

Hi Uri, you played a blitz game. Humans DONT play perfect at that level. 1 mistake and one dubious decision in a blitz game sounds like a VERY human-like playing style. I have a higher Elo number. Sometimes I blunder a queen, dont see a mate in one ... I would call such moves „natural moves“ or „nat...

Re: Maia chess - the holy grail for computer chess?

Hi Uri, Aha I didnt see this - because I only played Maia1900 (my strengh is about Elo 1900 - 2100) - rapid. The results showed me thats It plays like a weak 1900 Elo - so Elo 1843 are very realistic for me. And in this Elo Range everything is fine. — But you are absolutely right - the difference of...

Re: Maia chess - the holy grail for computer chess?

Hi,

I am sure they will release everything - wait some days. The opening book integration is just a few hours old.

I am REALLY excited about this project! I am so curious what comes next?

Re: Maia chess - the holy grail for computer chess?

Hi kinderchocolate,

the twitter critic is not relevant. The Maia team is working on a bigger/better opening book - of course with games of human players in the correct Elo-Range. So there will be a great variety in the opening lines.

Re: Maia chess - the holy grail for computer chess?

Hi Madeleine, thats for sure. I would love a Maia-Fischer - Maia-Spassky rematch!!!! I think we will see ALL chess legens - Kasparov, Karpov, Aljechin .... I love to play for my own - so I need some personalities with Elo 1900 - 2100. So I can play a tournament with stronger and weaker oponents (my ...
