So it is not really Brainfish but Stockfish.

If its true (I don't think it is) then the guy he beat after 12 draws and no wins must be the second best ever. Could you imagine Bobby Fischer drawing 12 straight games with no wins in his prime against someone in a championship match? Like engines, human players also evolve. Carlsen plays stronge...

I will use AB engines for a long time. I cant afford and don't understand how to get LZ working on a computer. SF with a great book is very close if not better than LZ anyway.

Re: One idea to solve chess?

"Unfortunately the size of 8-man tablebases will be 100 times larger than the size of 7-man tablebases. To fully compute them, one will need about 10 PB (10,000 TB) of disk space and 50 TB of RAM. Only the top 10 supercomputers can solve the 8-man problem in 2014. The first 1000-move mate is unlikel...

Re: Bluefish vs Leela in TCEC , who will win? BF =170 Threads, Lc0 =2x GPU

People on this forum have said that LCzero has a 40 MB pre calculated cache of moves. I wish that the TCEC would run an experiment letting SF use the latest Brianfish or else disabling LCzeros cache of moves.
