Re: Lc0 v0.24.0 Android - not the right way

Hi, The engine binaries are indeed built for the release, they are just not listed in the release page on GitHub which includes the more user-friendly Android package instead. After your request we've updated the wiki with the links to the plain engine binaries: https://github.com/LeelaChessZero/lc0...

Re: Can nobody compile Roden IV?

IMO a better way to distribute a chess engine on Android so that it works across many apps is to write an Open Exchange package for it. There's already a package like that, that even includes an older version of Rodent: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.acidapestudios.chessenginescol...

Re: Rodent IV for android please!

Hi Peter, I'm afraid I cannot help you with that, as I didn't test the personalities feature. You could try and copy the personalities folder along with the engine, but note that Android chess GUIs behave differently when loading the engine. I know for instance that DroidFish changes the current dir...

Re: Rodent IV for android please!

Hi,

You might want to try the armv7 build I made the other day, it's working fine for me on Android 7.

Re: Chess for Android: UCI engine options

Hi Aart, Impressive update, congratulations! The UCI Options dialogue works as it should. Still, maybe its usability could be improved if one could access such Options again without having to go back and select "Clear Options". One idea is to remove the "Clear Options" item and replace it with a new...

Re: LC0 For Android!!! History Made!!

Congrats, arm7 api 16 working fine on 32 bit device! I have a question, what is the default hash size that engine is using, and how can i change it? I suppose MinibatchSize and MaxPrefetch dosen't have anything to do with hash, right? Lc0 doesn't use a traditional transposition table. The mo...

Re: LC0 For Android!!! History Made!!

The engine 32 bit unfortunately does not run on Android 5.1. It would be nice if there is also a compile for it. Thank you in advance! Hi, The wiki was updated with new builds, now targeting lower Android versions: The 64 bit builds are compiled targeting the API Level 21 (equivalent to Android 5.0...

Re: LC0 For Android!!! History Made!!

Hi Leandro! The problem is not with the weights, but with the engine. For arm7 engines, the API level should be lowered to API 16! I always use api 16 for arm7 engines, and they all working fine. Eg for arm7 & arm8 (using NDK's toolchain). Hi Aleksei, I'll try lowering the API level. I might also t...
