Congratulations to Alexandru (Zurichess author) and Tamas (tomitankChess author) for sharing top spot. :)

Unfortunately, Zurichess won't be eligible for the next series unless a new version is released.

Thanks to the many of you who supported the live broadcast!
Thank you!

I feel that much more can not be done in JavaScript. I'm trying to get something out of it, but that's not the right language for...

Stockfish Skill-Level

Hi! Which is the most popular method to setting the skill level in Stockfish? (I want to make it independent of time.) i found this: function make_set_level(player) { function set_level(level) { var depth, err_prob, max_err; if (level < 0) { level = 0; } if (level > 20) { level = 20; } /// Nothing t...

Re: Poor man's neurones

I have found a working algorithm. I'm not claiming that it is any better than real neural network, and it is inefficient form traditional point of view, as the engine maintains twice as many piece/square tables. However, it does not cause too big a slowdown within a traditional evaluation function,...

I like Arena, because after the tournaments it can stop the PC if I want. (Practice at night.) :P
+1

Arena is the best.

Re: tomitankChess 3.0

Really nice progress!! I'll include it in my next CCLS Season. One thing though, I think you're being a bit optimistic with ratings. CCRL has listed tomitankChess 2.0 64-bit at 2616 and in my own rating list (which is very similar to CCRL) it's at 2576. You might want to review your numbers :mrgree...

But you still prune bad SEE move in qsearch right ?
Yes, but only if i'm not in check! When i'm in check, then i call evasion moves and i don't pruning.

Earlier i used "See" for the evasion moves sorting, but it's was futile also.
