Re: Alouette 0.0.1

Hello! I started a new engine called Alouette . In its current state, the engine plays the first legal move that it finds. It can play chess 960. 8-) Before working on move evaluation, I would like to make the current program as clean as possible. Comments and suggestions are welcome. It's written ...

Re: about the term of equal hardware

Tell me more about Zeta GPU? In short, it is a port of Zeta Dva engine to OpenCL to run on a GPU. https://www.chessprogramming.org/Zeta https://zeta-chess.app26.de/ -- Srdja classic parallel Alpha-Beta on GPU and open source. WOW. Why you not in TCEC? ~2200 elo for now And what? TCEC Season 15. Div...

If all the hardware is available for any engine to use, and it's just the dev's decision to take advantage of it or not, then there's no such thing as "advantage". That's exactly the situation at TCEC.
Clearly not a true statement in general.
What part is not true?

Re: End of Era is there: SF is finally beaten!

Leela about to go +3, SF fans already using excuses like "hardware disadvantage" or "no book"... gimme a break. The same guys who made fun about the argument, Lc0 would be better without book? You don't think that lc0 plays better from the start position than from a 8-16-move predefined opening? Yo...

Re: End of Era is there: SF is finally beaten!

Very true ... I think that SF even on 1000 cores would still lose to Lc0 some pretty spectacular games. I mean just look at yesterday's loss ... out of the opening and each engine plays a few moves by itself and you have this position [d]r2q1k1r/3b1pp1/1p2p2p/p2pP2P/P1p2P2/3B4/2P1QBP1/R3K2R w KQ - ...
