Re: Release: EGTB verification tool

But what does it do/check? :D You feed it a directory containing EGTB files. It verifies them against an internal database of MD5 hashes. Then lets you know if the files are ok, and what set they are from. It's not impressive, more like an automated MD5 checker :) But it has verified MD5 of all the...

Re: Release: EGTB verification tool

Thanks Joshua..works great here..maybe it would be interesting to see a total ,to know we have them all ! Kind regards, JP. That's something I have planned for the next release :). I'm also planning on having it generate a report afterwards to make the output a bit cleaner and more specific. In cas...

Release: EGTB verification tool

http://olympuschess.com/EGTBChecker/EGTBChecker.zip The basic usage is: java -jar EGTBChecker.jar /path/to/EGTBfiles or java -jar EGTBChecker.jar d:\EGTB It recursively checks all files and sub-directories so if you have all your files in C:\EGTB no need to list each subdirectory. Verified it works ...

Re: OICS new monthly tournament

Glad to see the interest :)

Still setting up the server, and will make sure people have accounts at least a week before it happens. I'll announce it here.

Will do some test runs as well to make sure my mamer build it happy.

The address is the same as the torrent site. oics.olympuschess.com :)

Re: OICS new monthly tournament

My point is, anyone can request and run. If you cannot but want to be included, I do have hardware to spare and will run at you behalf @ your config if you can point me to what you want. All my cluster is Linux. Admit it's a lil outdated, but I have a lot ofwhat was nice like 2-3x years ago -Josh

Re: OICS new monthly tournament

I do still have a couple nice high end machines. I'm completely discreet and will never share ANY engine someone sends me. I am TRULY grateful to have previously hosted Nightmare and WaDuuttie. Since it's been 2-3+ years as you can see, I never leak anything. I don't have a static IP for my hardware...

OICS new monthly tournament

I love HGM tourneys, and when I ran OICS it was hit or miss. So I'm listening to people and putting it back up, purely fresh from HGM sources. I'm trying to make a new monthly, not to compete with his, but add as a secondary . While the server will run 24/7 I wont run a 24/6 mamer auto-add bot like ...

OICS Torrent, dropping Nalimov

There seems to be minimal desire for these. I can't keep seeding them so dropping. I will keep up 3-4-5, but the 6 men seems obsolete as most people "should" have migrated to sygyzy. -Josh Plus (and I'm grateful) there is always http://tablebase.sesse.net/ which has amazing bandwidth and up for years.
