Re: A complete 2000 lines of code engine

Micah is 1842 lines! With UCI, lazy-SMP, tuning, table-bases!

(but to be honest: it uses libchess & fathom 8-) )

New version of Micah!
Version 0.10.
This one is a bit stronger than 0.9 and tries harder to find its tune.dat file.

Oops: some code of CPW eval left in! That was not supposed to leave the house.

Re: On-line engine blitz tourney July

I looked in the command log, and there is nothing suspicious there. The last logged command is a simple move, 'e3h3'. The backtrace is all in libc library routines; Didn't tell me anything useful. Hmmm. I have the feeling it is Micah. I had to enlarge a too small buffer in icsdrone to get it to wor...

coverity search for security vulnerability in your code
That's not entirely correct.
They also find dead code, null pointer dereferencing and tons of other things.

Re: Coverity Scan

I have mentioned this before but there is a free (for open source) code static analysis website: https://scan.coverity.com/ . This was broken for a while but they have since fixed it. It will scan your code (C/C++/Java/Ruby/Javascript/C#/Python) and report possible bugs. --Jon FWIW: it looks like c...

Re: Severe windows 10 problems. What to do?

I just found the error, somehow a statement in the hash update disappeared like I expected. Aren't you using a version control system, e.g. Git? It would be a trivial task to review all changes when using Git. No, I never did. I stem from an age that all these things didn't exist. I make automated ...

Test results likely to appear in the next CCRL blitz update.
Any chance for Micah to be in CCRL? :-)
It seems to me that Micah is in a rapidly developing phase. I thought I'd wait till it settles. Other testers might have different views, though.
Ah ok, makes sense

Re: New engine releases 2019

I've put Micah 0.9 on my website. It should be now somewhat stronger than Embla 2.0.7.
It includes a tune.dat that is a pre-tuned tune-file :-)
