Re: Question for Engines testers ?

The result depends on the time limit, but in general Komodo does surprisingly well giving material handicaps to weaker engines. I would think that it will take a rather strong modern engine to score 50% at some moderately rapid time control against Komodo at this Exhange odds handicap. Since you sa...

Question for Engines testers ?

I saw that GM Nakamura drew Versus Komodo on the Internet https://www.chess.com/article/view/nakamura-to-play-komodo-in-odds-match, and I am curious as what old program with what strength based on the CCR rating list could draw versus Komodo playing the same position. Here it is 3. Exchange odds: Ko...

Re: Who will finally beat GM Ding Liren ?

But surprisingly Sergei Tiviakov had reported streak of 110 games including Carlsen! You are correct Sir https://en.chessbase.com/post/new-in-chess-invincibility-list I guess that because of his low rating o 2519 Chessbase dismisses his claim as heroic accomplishment, people have the tendency of no...

Re: Who will finally beat GM Ding Liren ?

GM Ding Liren Surpasses GM Tal Record, and he will probably reach over 100+ classical games without a loss. I will be the first to predict that GM Ding Liren will be GM Carlsen next challenger for the World Championship next year, and that means that I trully believe that GM Caruana does not have a...

Re: Big discrepancy between Men's and Women's Prize

From Wikipedia: "Hou Yifan was one of 24 players selected to play in the FIDE Grand Prix 2017, a qualification stage for the World Chess Championship 2018. She reached position 17 in the final standings, and thus was not able to qualify for the Championship." There is STILL no "Men's World Chess Ch...

Re: Big discrepancy between Men's and Women's Prize

GM Hou Yifan unlike many top players who dedicate every waking moment to improving their game, from an early age GM Hou decided chess would be a hobby and not a career. So? If you want to become world chess champion, then you have to do the work required. If people are not willing to do that work, ...
