Re: TCEC Season 7 - Main Thread

Hi Frank, Every Season, people ask why "engine X" is not included instead of "engine Y", or why engine Z is there at all. Basically, the TCEC lineup varies slightly from Season to Season. I try not to include too many direct clones, for example this Season there are no direct IPP clones like I had i...

I didn't get a reply or answer about adding DON engine!

As always look forward to follow your tournament..

Kind regards,

Same reason as why he did not want Hiarcs 14 in Season 6 - he felt it was too old.

Re: TCEC Season 7 - Main Thread

Great news, Martin! :) The real surprise among the participants is Spark 1.1 - does this mean that Spark is now again being developed? I'm also noticing that Fire is not playing. Any reason for this? Regards, CL About Spark, well let's just say that Allard was fed up by my constant nagging. :) Fire...

Re: TCEC Season 7 - Main Thread

Great news, Martin but can't you wait till Houdini 5 shows up? Without Houdini 5, we already know the final.... Stockfish - Komodo  And Deep Hiarcs 15 is to be released this month as far as I know. Deep Fritz 14 and Vitruvius, even Zappa on huge hardware might provide some interesting results...

Jouni wrote:What is the reason for no tablebases this time?
Basically to please those that do not want tablebases. :)

TCEC has given tablebase access to the engine in all events so far, so now the time had come to disable them (except for GUI adjudication, as mentioned).

Re: Olympiad 2014 Fastest Game Ever?

It has been informed that FIDE is looking into this game to see whether it has been pre-arranged. If so, the organizers can ban the team(s) involved for the rest of the Olympiad.
