Re: CCRL flawed testing : SF12 above SF12 8CPU

Fastgm page has test with SF8 and there after 3000 games 8th vs 1th was +158 ELO. SF wiki has value of +178 ELO after 1000 games. Both 60+0.6 games. But we are so much higher level now. Remember we are making a big assumption here. SF 12 is not a A/B engine. Just because SF 8 scales this way. Does ...

Re: SPCC: Testrun of Nemorino 6 finished

The fact that Nemorino 6 is now the same strength as Houdini 6.03 and Komodo 14 is insane. Nemorino 5.40 finished 10th (last place) in League 2 in TCEC Season 19 and will be starting in League 3 in Season 20. TCEC Cup 7 is going to be very interesting. It will be the first time we get to see what T...

Re: AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 3995WX

But having a chip such as the Threadripper PRO 3995WX in the system is not cheap. Primarily, the Ryzen Threadripper PRO series processors will not go on public sale. At first, the only company, Lenovo, will be engaged in the distribution of ready-made systems based on them. The Chinese manufacturer...

Re: Is Allie a 'Leela net player'?

+Allie's net is trained on T60 games (among others) and before some recent updates Allie's eval almost always mimicked Leela's eval. (Just inflated massively) If you replace SF's multithreading with ABDADA (or YBWC) and train a net a little differently you quickly have something that's just as *uni...

Re: Is Allie a 'Leela net player'?

There are actually four levels of originality. There is completely original engines, as in search and evaluation are built from the ground up, or the search and evaluation has changed so much from an existing engine as to have no resemblance to the original engine anymore. There are neural network ...

Those Xeon cores are fairly slow.
I'd say 512 mb is probably a little tight, but over 1gb would get liberal very quickly.

Re: NNUE variation

If anything that shows that you can just take a network, add some very minor modifications and pass the similarity test with ease.

Could be interesting to test Vondele's net since that's a Sergio net with the last layer SPSA tuned.
