Re: 7-man Syzygy on one SSD ?

https://syzygy-tables.info/ 7 piece needs 8.5 TiB for WDL files and 8.3 TiB for the DTZ files. If you adjudicate at 7 pieces and high eval then just WDL files are enough. If you want to see complex 7 piece positions played out correctly you also need the DTZ files. So you won't be able to fit the fu...

Re: Stockfish NN release (NNUE)

Thanks! Another question. The training phase uses only one cpu even setting the number of threads. Is this the normal behaviour? In the readme states to set various threads as in the generation phase. Are you using the blas version? Yes, the one on the readme.txt stockfish.nnue-learn-use-blas.k-p_2...

Re: FGRL - rating lists June 20th 2020

Ethereal 12.25 ( -7 to Ethereal 12.00) Seems you have the first rating list with enough weak opponents that the contempt from V12.00 that is no longer default in V12.25 is a big deal. Should be far better results in your more exclusive lists. If not, something is wrong. Are you using Linux, or the ...

Re: Stockfish NN release (NNUE)

Can I take a net and improve it with a new "traninig phase" with new generated training data? I have the evalsave folder with the first training. Thanks. If you want to use the nn that appeared in the evalsave folder simply put that nn in the eval folder. Then you can open the blas binary and use t...

Re: My strongest NNUE net (yet)

Quick test 30 + 0.2 of your net (stnnuecl1) against the previous best net known for me. Yours is a bit better: # PLAYER : RATING ERROR POINTS PLAYED (%) 1 stnnuecl1 : 2868.0 10.7 269.0 504 53.4% 2 stnnue : 2844.0 10.7 235.0 504 46.6% Now testing it against the latest one of Additional Pylon halfkp ...

Re: nnue-gui 1.0 released

Awesome. Thanks. An easy change to implement is to also show available parameters that can have different values. With "gensfen" you can also specify a few other things: https://github.com/nodchip/Stockfish/blob/master/src/learn/learner.cpp#L958 Also please double check if what I say below is actual...
