Re: This is to clarify the "abandonware" issue.

In the soon to be held elections i hope all candidates will support this as well as a general anti -piracy message. Is there any sign of elections? As the current mods seem to have overthrown the democratic system and held on to power. Seriously it is time for democratic elections. Best Wishes, Har...

Re: Problem with my Chess Assistant

In Chessbase you can check all the additions (updates) you have made to your reference database, i.e., Mega Database, by right-clicking on the Mega DB icon, Properties, and then Show Protocol. How would you do this in CA? On the 'Base properties' dialog box of the CA's bases there is an option 'Tra...

Re: Problem with my Chess Assistant

The button the red arrow is pointing to has stopped working. Check the image above. When you click on this button you're supposed to get a list of positions from HugeBase. I only get a message that says "No games found" but no search actually takes place. I click it and the message pops up instanta...

Re: Do not Listen to the Recent Steve Blincoe incarnation

A supposed member of this place, Steve Blincoe, has just said how happy he was of not having to pay for a Citrine, according a deal previously made. Alain zanchetta rewrote the code of Hiarcs 0.3 and Hiarcs 0.5 and so he should receive it, but he said "No" and this faked Steve appeared at once sayi...

Re: PDA battery life when running engine analysis all the ti

With regard to battery-life I don’t think you’ll better the Z22 but the Zire 21 (mono screen) is also good and I’ve read that the Tungsten E2 is good as well. I fully charged the PDA, and the 4 batteries - plugged it into the Dell Axim, set the device so that there was no dimming of the screen at a...

Re: PDA battery life when running engine analysis all the ti

I'm trying to ascertain whether the battery life on my Z22 is about as good as I am likely to get with a PDA, or whether there are PDA's currently at the low end of the market that are even more economical when running analysis functionality with chess engines such as Pocket Fritz, HIARCS, Chess Ge...

Re: so what is a fair GM handicap vs Rybka?

In NFL football, games are made theoretically even by give one team points. Example, a bad team may be given a 21 point handicap to make the contest even. . with similar time controls to the current match, what handicap would the GM need so the match is considered even? Maybe none of the above. Giv...
