Re: Chernin-J. Polgar, New York 1990
Judit (at about age 13) defeats a grandmaster, with Rxg2+: [D] r6k/pppn2rp/3p1b1q/3P1b2/1PP2p2/2NB1N1P/P4PPK/2RQ2R1 b - - I have tried this on a couple of engines and it seems to be fairly difficult - even if I force Rxg2+ Rxg2, Arasan 10.1 still takes a while to see a + score for Black. On my Athl...

Depends only on whether the engine you plan to test with fully supports 4 CPUs or not. If not, the Core2Duo is clearly the better choice. BTW, have you considered the Core2Duo Q6600 (with G0 stepping)?

See http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1483824 White played Rd8! here: [D] 2b1r1kb/p3np1p/1p2p1PB/4P1Q1/5N2/8/P1q2PP1/3R2K1 w - - Some engines find this quickly but others want to select g7+, which only draws. Re: There is a market for dedicatd units, again?
A long and sometimes hot thread has started in other forum about the commercial feasibility of dedicated units in the current market. A side of the discussion think "yes"; they argue people has got tired of PC and that the experience to play on them is not fully satisfactory. The other side say "NO...

Re: shame on toga authors
Posts like these are only an insult to the hundreds of authors of original work, it's not like there aren't other strong engines for you to play with besides toga/strelka&co. It just shows a complete lack of character/lack of spine from you and other "supporters". Damnit again I clicked on CCC this...
