What issue? Unless you found a case where white fails to mate there is no problem. Mate in N puzzles demand a dedicated solver.

I ask here. I d like to know why with many green patches, regression test indicate no progress ? Last time it was +27~ elo and now seems +29 at best. 2 elo with how many green patches ? Do you think the way Stockfish is tested does not work anymore ? Just asking, not here to offense Stockfish team....

For testing they're great! You can have your own mini-cluster.

For analysis they are difficult to use effectively.

You can when the engine randomizes. Or when its opponent randomizes.
You can, and that's much better than nothing, but using unique opening positions is better still and easier.

So if I get more lines, like you mention, up to 10,000, should I repeat that test set even when the consistency seems fairly solid? There is never a good reason to reuse an opening with an unchanged engine. Your 10,000 will give you 20,000 unique games, which should be enough, but if you need more ...

I think it is interesting that both Komodo and Stockfish prefer the French in answer to e4. Maybe that should be more popular in human games.
