Re: Trusted testers wanted
Sorry, but you simply can not do this. A GPL program is GPL. Only the author can change that. You can not release a modified version and restrict it to be something less than GPL. You should read the GPL to see why. I am not a lawyer, but my opinion is that Volker is clearly allowed to do what he d...

Re: Trusted testers wanted
I don't want to find my source code in clones, so the only way to recieve a copy from me is to promise not to give a copy to anyone but Tord Romstad. Sorry Volker, but what you ask for is exactly the opposite of the most fundamental point of the GPL that Tord decided to apply for glaurung. You simp...

Re: Cutechess-cli: A command line tool for engine-engine mat
Hi Iljari A small suggestion : In the present state (v0.1.7) "-book" is a general option that applies to both engines. I suggest that it should become an engine option (in the form book=arg)so that we could run matches with different book for each engine. The option of having both engines using the ...

I don't know what Anand said, but if I remember correctly Mr. Lacrosse was accussed of cheating, using computer help during the game. He was crucified in chess forums across the net. Mig Greengard's comment : ( see here , Mig was official commentator on ICC for this event) : "To me it was just a ve...
