Re: Buggy pgn output from a CEGT & CCRL gui
A much more common "faulty" PGN interpretation is the lack of a white space between the dot after move number and the corresponding white move : "1.Nc3" (should be "1. Nc3"). Another common "fault" is incorrect writing of promotion moves. Some major GUI's do not produce strictly correct PGN. This is...

Re: 6 piece EGTB
Hi, My homeland security officer (wife) has banned EMULE use. Does anyone know a place I can download 6 piece EGTBs from without it? I found KBPKNP to test my young engine with (it seems to work) but am now eager for more. -Sam from : http://kd.lab.nig.ac.jp/chess/tablebases-online/ : Other ways to...

Re: Shredder 10.1 now released
i wonder why stefan is not reducing the price of shredder, since it has now an enemy (Zapchess) beeing stronger and less expensive. There is some "added value" with shredder : online 6-men TB access, original interface with powerful book-tuning options, and that strange triple-brain function among ...

Re: Fantacising about a testing cluster!
I want to be able to run a two month test for the most promising beta that is produced each week. So ten cpus should be enough. They should be as cheap as possible (celerons maybe) with no more than 256 MB each. I imagine that they all could connect to a main computer through a simple network that ...

What is Mlmfl? I would like to get a copy to examine it. Hi Dann From my site : “ MLmfl ” has “ mfl ” standing for “ most frequent lines ”. These are the 32 positions that have been reached at least 1200 times and from which no “ child ” position has been played more than 1000 times in a high-quali...

Re: 2007 World Computer Quick Chess Championships
Nice idea : I like this timing (30 min + 1 sec). Do you already have an idea of the time schedule for the rounds ? A small suggestion : if you wish to have as many european participants as possible, maybe you could consider having 8 rounds on saturday and only 6 ones on sunday so that the tournament...
