Re: Little thought experiment

On another world there exists a very powerful computer using alien tech. This chess machine does a true (as in literal) Brute Force search 15 plies deep. It uses current SF E.F How many plies deep, approximately, would normal SF have to search to equal the strength of the 15 plies alien machine? Do...

Re: TCEC S15, END of an ERA event is much more Brutal than I thought!

After 26 games in TCEC SUFI, Leela is leading with 15-11. My prediction for TCEC was just 55-45 Leela win. cap4.PNG Yes, I expected long ago 2:1 Win/Loss ratio for Leela, something on the lines +14 -7 =79. Let's see. I predicted that when the previous S14 was underway with 32930 net. It IS an end o...

Re: TCEC Season III Heating up.

My guess is that stockfish was confused by the 50 move rule and maybe it thought that the losing line is a draw because of memorizing a draw score in the tranposition table.

Re: TCEC Season III Heating up.

stockfish had a forced draw. It may be interesting if the fact that stockfish lost is result of a bug in handling the 50 move rule or some different problem because there is no logical reason to have 0.00 score for a losing position when the material is not equal. Here is the last time that stockfis...
