Re: What about the Zanzibar vs DJ & Zanzibar vs DF in 4C

Hi, well I don't know how it work, but I saw that Sedat did it, in his tournier in 40/120 time control, i think 2 or 4 games Zap!Chess Zanzibar vs Deep Junior and Deep Fritz too, by the way in cegt there are some match between 64 bit engines, like Rybka's vs Deep junior 10 and against Deep FRitz 10...

Re: My draw with an FM on ICC

I have now partially understood what makes the combination somewhat harder than it seems. Rh7 is not hard to see. Likewise, Rf1+ as a reply can be eliminated after Kf1 Rf8+ Kg1 (this might still require at least a few seconds). However, the followup of Bg6+ after Kh7 is harder to see. The "default"...

Re: Progress 10 10 10 Personality is very strong

My testing so far suggest that 403 progress 10 10 10 may be better than 418 progress 10 10 10 but it is possible that 403 was simply lucky. 403 progress 10 10 10 was the only program that could beat fruit2.0 in 100 game match 51-49 in 5 minutes/40 moves. 418 progress 10 10 10 will probably lose beca...

Re: My draw with an FM on ICC

How could an FM miss that in a game 15 I wonder? Anybody can suffer "chess blindness", even the very best players. Possible, but it would seem dubious, I've seen and played combinations of that complexity often at G/5 and and even G/2! Hi Terry if you have access to ICC run the following command fi...

Re: The Ultimate Computer Chess Challenge !?!?

Uri, please be serious. I guess you know also CCRL and CEGT ratings, not only SSDF. Junior is a good, interesting and respectable engine! - But it has always been overestimated because of misleading ICGA tournament results. I think that the difference is too small to claim which engine is better wh...

Movei progress 10 10 10 beated fruit2.0 51-49

Movei progress 10 10 10 personality beated fruit2.0(cegt rating 2614 in 40/20) in 5 minutes/40 moves on A3000 in the noomen match 51-49

This is a very good result considering the fact that the cegt rating of movei00_8_403 default in 40/20 is only 2559

Re: The Ultimate Computer Chess Challenge !?!?

Although it's supported by FIDE, ICGA, Levy and ChessBase: It's just an exhibition match of two engines, which aren't Top-5 anymore. I think we should not pay too much attention. The various rating lists can provide comparisons for much more than just six games. It is a shame that the loser wil rec...

Re: movei progress 10 10 10 personality

The best result that I got in 100 games match against fruit2.0 was loss 47.5-52.5 at 1+1 time control when movei was leading 47-43 after 90 games. ...hate when that happens! :x Well at least your goal is Fruit, I'm already having trouble beating Kiwi with Hamsters! :P P.S. But every now and then, e...

movei progress 10 10 10 personality

This personality performed better than the default personality in my testing. I tested it at the following conditions: 1)5 minutes/40 moves against fruit2.0 128 mbytes hash for every engine. Result after 62 games was 33-29 for movei pr10 but fruit2.0 is known to be relatively better at the last game...
