Re: I Know this is a VERY old fashion Greeting, but....

I hope for all of you a great 2018...which it would not be easy considering the planetary scene these days, but, anyway, we still have time to drink a glass or tow and wait for the best. a Huge Hug Fer, from Chile, not yet midnight.... All the best from snowy and very cold Toronto. For the first ti...

Re: CCRL 40/40, 40/4 and FRC lists updated (30th December 20

Thank you Graham. Quick question: is there a reason why the 40/40 pure list still has Texel 1.06, while the newer has earned a higher rating (and has played more games)?

Happy New Year!

We did get a pretty good idea that all three are really close in strength.

Re: Stockfish could have drawn all ten (10) games ...

Indeed, Chess from the initial position is a draw. I once lost 10 games against Stockfish, and when I later analyzed them, it turned out I could have drawn rhem all, if I had only done the good moves. In fairness the IM was trying to be more specific: "white should be able to hold provided he stops...

Re: Any news of a Komodo update in sight?

Are you serious ? Really who cares anymore whether Komodo or any other Engine gets updated anymore unless they incorporate MCTC algorithm into it, instead of the now obsolete Alpha-Beta Search. I am sure you have already disposed of any tv's that aren't 8K. After all, in Tokyo they watched 2016 Oly...

Re: Andscacs - New version 0.921 with source

... irrespective of the illegal move played in one of the TCEC games. The bug of the illegal move was there from very old versions. Only that seems that a lot of cores and bad luck are necessary to manifest it. Got it, thank you for the clarification. I suppose this still leaves the question of a d...

Re: Andscacs - New version 0.921 with source

Günther, the point of my post was the color -- something your carefully formatted text table fails to convey. ;) Here is what I see: a) 4-CPU direct comparison between 0.921 and 0.92 is not available (ver. 0.92 not having been tested with 4CPUs) b) However, a comparison between single CPU performan...

Re: question: Gull 3 syzygy

Thanks Dan, I realize that. I am wondering what version was selected for the chess.com tournament. I am wondering who created it, if it's fully tested, etc.

question: Gull 3 syzygy

I have seen several attempts: does anyone know which version is playing in the chess.com tournament?

Thank you,
