Re: Test position, Queen sac, that appears to be winning!

Eelco, the problem with this would be the depth to find a high score? I've been analyzing the position and I think that after 1. axb6 1 ... c3 can hinder the search, I am not sure. The position is so beautiful that I would dare say that further analysis of Martin Thorens with Houdini, white can win...

Re: Whether You Will Buy Rybka 5?

No doubt I will buy Rybka 5. Why? Because it´s one of the best engines in the world. I buy almost all engines, why not buy Rybka 5?

8 g4 might be better. Of note is that 8 ... Rc1, 9 g5 c2?, 10 Kg2! wins. Black's best looks like 8 ... Rc1, 9 g5 Kd6. I don't have enough time at the moment to look at the variations.
After 8 g4 Rc1 draw.

Re: Pervious World Champion Engine Authors Speak Out...

I suppose the oddest thing is that none of the authors actually signed the evidence, but rather it is backed by the analysis and conclusions of an unknown: Mark Watkins (who never wrote an engine that I heard of - feel free to correct me). One would think that the basis of such a serious letter wou...

Re: Vas speaks

Graham, I think that Vas should say that a year ago, before Zach discovered the similarities between Rybka and Fruit. He would have been more clear and perhaps avoided this whole mess.
The fact is that of Rybka 1 to 4, Vas showed his talents as a programmer.

Re: My choice

I chose my path. After all the discussions on the subject Rybka x Ippo, I decided to give credit to who deserves one. I made a donation to the development of Houdini, I'm not trying to influence anyone to do the same, I'm wanting that you know by me, and not by others. The truth must be told, even ...
