I have just purchased the ChessBase online app for iOS and use it on my ipod touch. It has gone thru many developments from its first release. One thing which annoys me is that the search abilities for for most of the relavent headers only function when using the ChessBase online database. But when ...

Re: IM Andrew Martin analysis of Ivanov–Rombaldoni

Fide will just have to impose some conditions that you must agree to when you want to play in one of their sanctioned tournaments. All other professional sports have anti cheating mechanisms in place. Most involve blood/urine tests and can be done prior/during/post events. I think some cheaters at t...

Re: Borislav Ivanov: a Lilov's add-on

I have watched all Lilov's videos and must admit that I am extremely suspicious of Borislav. One thing I have noted is that in those games of Borislav that he never really makes any blunders. I class blunder as a move that allows the opponent to change a losing position into a draw and an equal posi...

Re: Borislav Ivanov: a Lilov's add-on

But we have to catch him... we cant ban him with such silly arguments as this [d]r4r1k/1p1bN1pp/3P3q/p1p1Qp2/P1P4P/1P2PpP1/8/3R1RK1 w - - 0 31[/d] 31. Qxc5 This move, which was played in a few seconds time, made no sense! A human would take on f3 after a little thought, not on c5! I would take on c...

Maybe Robert is planning a simultaneous release of Houdini for Android/ iOS/ WP8. Just don't know what the hold up is. Be good to know from Robert rather the speculation that no release on Android due to piracy issues.

Re: A feature idea for handhelds

I wished that this was available about 5 years ago. I manually entered the positions from a book (The Big Book Of Combinations) that had 1000 diagrams on my hand held pocket pc. I did a little bit each day and it took about 2 weeks to get it done. With an app like this I suppose you could do it much...

Re: when will houdini for android beeing published

Also do you have an estimate of how much it will cost. The last update on the features was back in early January, any screenshots or further informatio...
