Re: Nobody is perfect....

First you are trying to present the author of Strelka as a small hero who tried to help other programmers finding out the details behind Rybka's success. I don't agree with that presentation. Illegal is illegal no matter what our intention is. Once he found out that Rybka derrivated from an open sou...

Re: Chess System Tal II & Engine Style

the patch for WIN makes the version from 2.0 to 2.03. I also see Chess System Tal 2.50 here: http://www.rebel.nl/ctresult.htm It seems it is newer than 2.03(since 2.50>2.03), but i haven't seen you speak about it before. Only about 2.0 and 2.03. So what is this 2.50? Also do you know where i can bu...

Re: Nobody is perfect....

Hi Matthias, [General statement for all people which attacking Dann and Bryan] " Nobody is perfect " Dann and Bryan are only humans and humans making mistakes. That's absolut normal. Both guys did a great job in the past and having an very good background knowledge. If you don't know what do you mu...

Re: Chess System Tal II games....

I think the manual resignation by you was premature. Yes black is better, but white has 2 strong passed Pawns that are supported by the Bishop, has a very strong light Bishop in a very good square and the blockade on e2-d3 seems very strong for white. Not so sure about the black win and definitely A...

Re: Sensational! Y.Ossipov talking about STRELKA

So V.Rajlich has every right to do whatever he wants! And we can't support he did copy parts of Fruit because we don't have any evidence. Unless we find evidence we can only say that he didn't copy parts of Fruit. There was evidences, if you read this topic. There it says: For me all this looks lik...

Re: Sensational! Y.Ossipov talking about STRELKA

Why shouldn’t Rajlich discover code of Rybka to experts (as Osipov did) to prove that he didn't copy parts of Fruit? This works in the opposite way. You are innocent until proven guilty. And not guilty until proven innocent. So V.Rajlich has every right to do whatever he wants! And we can't support...

Re: Sensational! Y.Ossipov talking about STRELKA

Vasik Rajlich told: I went through the Fruit 2.1 source code forwards and backwards and took many things. This is obvious that means: Ideas and not the code of Fruit. He(Vasik Rajlich) also said: "Yes, the publication of Fruit 2.1 was huge. Look at how many engines took a massive jump in its wake: ...

Re: Father(The Human) is eating to Rybka 2.3.2a mp(Machine)

Thanks for the game!
Very instructive as always.....

I wonder when "normal" Chess engines will learn to avoid such positions and win..... I'm not speaking about special settings like anti-human etc, but the default Chess engines.....

Re: Sensational! Y.Ossipov talking about STRELKA

hi Evgenii i am not sure which is harder for me to understand...the original Russian or the Google Translation  :D :D Well the most important parts is that he says he started from Fruit's source and rewrote it using bitboards and then studied about 20% of Rybka's code by disassembling it and ...

Re: Elvis has left the building Steve and Terry....

Turthfully Chris, I'm not that interested in this unending saga...sorry. Damn, and I do my best to make my puzzles difficult for you. The always used argument is that in most other positions they do not have identical or even comparable evaluations..... But my opinion is that ALL engines(that do no...
