Re: interesting endgame in CCCC

Problem is that after 168.Ka7 black instead of 168...Kg5 can play 168...Qa2+ And then after the forced: 169.Kb6 Qb3+ 170.Ka6 Qa4+ 171.Kb6 Qb4+ 172.Ka6 Kf4 and is this a draw? Maybe. [d]2Q5/1P6/K7/2P1bp2/1q3k2/8/8/8 w - - 0 173 I got someone on Leela's discord(Aloril) with full 7 TBs on SSDs with Cf...

Re: interesting endgame in CCCC

After 168. Ka7 Kg5 we have 2Q5/KP6/8/2Pqbpk1/8/8/8/8 w - - 31 169 and all moves lose except for one cute one. Yes b8N!! draws. [d]1NQ5/K7/8/2Pqbpk1/8/8/8/8 b - - 0 169 Problem is that after 168.Ka7 black instead of 168...Kg5 can play 168...Qa2+ And then after the forced: 169.Kb6 Qb3+ 170.Ka6 Qa4+ 1...

Re: No chance

this thread has already 16 sites and we still have no conclusion about the correctness of LT's queensac...the positions inbetween (with mate in 30 or whatever) are very interesting and there are a lot of testpositions in there were engines are blind for very long time but the main-question remains ...

Re: Analysis needed

Even after taking a pawn, the EGTB says it's draw : https://lichess.org/analysis/standard/8/8/5K2/k1p1N3/2PbP3/8/8/8_w_-_-_1_7_ What? :D After Nc6+ and then e5 white is winning. I guess you misplaced the King. With King on e6, it's a draw indeed. Well, Nc6 is an illegal move in Vincents position ;-...

Re: Something goes wrong with lc0 since yesterday?

There's an interesting ongoing match between lc0 on 1 P100 and SFdev on 57 threads here: http://tcecbeta.chessdb.cn/bonusbeta/live.html So far after 11 games, SF is +1. Not counting the disconnect at the start of the 15th game, which was counted as loss for SF, after 14 games: +2 -0 =12 for SF dev....

Re: Test position, Compliments of LC0

Houdini 6.03 Tactical does well on this position, finding Ng5 "instantly" on my XPS i9 Notebook. How does Houdini fare in this position? Avoid fxg3? that draws. Kd3 is an easy way to win(as also other moves). How do engines of 2018 do on this anticomputer one? Stockfish? Leela? My Stockfish reaches...

Re: Something goes wrong with lc0 since yesterday?

I found this result very interesting:

Leela Lc0 11089 running on 4x P100 GPUs versus Stockfish dev 180829 running on 43 cores 16 GB hash, ended +1 -0 =9 in favor of Leela!! :?

Leela was getting 20 kN/s to 60 kN/s and Stockfish 35 MN/s to 60 MN/s !!
