Re: LC0 0.18rc2 ID11201 blind spot?

After the the heatwave is over in middle europe I could finally do some testings again on my weak passive cooled (but silent) gpu with latest LC0. In the position below it uncorked 23.c4? vs. SFdev, which has some tactical long range holes. Does it play the same at longer time and better hardware? ...

For any interested developer, here is the current Arena file: http://newman.chess.com/arena.debug
For an interested Chess player, that has already asked in vain around 15 times in the CCCC chat, where is the PGN of all the stage 1 games?

Lc0 now has a training run using tablebase rescoring for training, rather soon we should be able to see improvements in endgame play from this.
And you still keep "0" in the name, what a joke...
Yes. They do that, to annoy you. And it's good. :D

Re: Chess.com 2018 computer chess championship

They need to implement tablebase adjudication for this tournament to cut down o the number of times we end up watching engines messing about for 100+ moves of pointless crap. It works perfectly fine for TCEC. I don't see why CCCC couldn't do it as well. At least 6 man if not 7 man adjudication. It ...

Re: Chess.com 2018 computer chess championship

Nirvana-Fire game: Nirvana found 24.Qd1!! that draws. Most engines want to play Kh2 that must lose as i've analyzed, even though it's a tough endgame(Queen endgame with black to have 1 more Pawn and black King to have a good shelter for checks). How much time for Qd1? [d]6k1/2p2pp1/p4qp1/1P6/2pP1n2/...

Re: interesting endgame in CCCC

Speaking of interesting endgames, I found this gem in the Fritz-Ethereal game. 8/5B2/8/B2n1P2/3n2Pb/p7/4k3/1K6 b - - 1 70 The key 70...Bd8!! was a bolt from the blue! Fritz-Ethereal went like this so i wonder for what game you are talking about. :D [Event "CCCC 1: Rapid Rumble (15|5) Stage 1"] [Sit...

Re: interesting endgame in CCCC

Problem is that after 168.Ka7 black instead of 168...Kg5 can play 168...Qa2+ And then after the forced: 169.Kb6 Qb3+ 170.Ka6 Qa4+ 171.Kb6 Qb4+ 172.Ka6 Kf4 and is this a draw? Maybe. [d]2Q5/1P6/K7/2P1bp2/1q3k2/8/8/8 w - - 0 173 I got someone on Leela's discord(Aloril) with full 7 TBs on SSDs with Cf...

Re: interesting endgame in CCCC

After 168. Ka7 Kg5 we have 2Q5/KP6/8/2Pqbpk1/8/8/8/8 w - - 31 169 and all moves lose except for one cute one. Yes b8N!! draws. [d]1NQ5/K7/8/2Pqbpk1/8/8/8/8 b - - 0 169 Problem is that after 168.Ka7 black instead of 168...Kg5 can play 168...Qa2+ And then after the forced: 169.Kb6 Qb3+ 170.Ka6 Qa4+ 1...

Re: No chance

this thread has already 16 sites and we still have no conclusion about the correctness of LT's queensac...the positions inbetween (with mate in 30 or whatever) are very interesting and there are a lot of testpositions in there were engines are blind for very long time but the main-question remains ...

In this case try this trivial mate in 7 that I composed
