IPON

Hello all I had a programm (FTP-trigger) that could send a file every X seconds to an FTP server. For whatever reason that program stopped working for me (varous computers, various Windows OS, no luck). The programm was quite old and the sourcecode is lost) Does anyone know another program that can ...

Re: Komodo 10.4 vs Houdini 5

If my list is meaningless (and it might be), please check the CEGT 40/20 released today. It is simple mathematics to be rated better than another engines even with a lower score in direct comparison (and 220 direct games in my case are pretty much useless statistically for chess) Happens all the tim...

Re: Komodo 10.3 on Ipon

Hello Please check point 7 of the conditions - maybe the new point 13 is even more important! :-) Ingo 35kW is not correct. Maybe you mean 35kWh. Yes that seems to be correct. When I was fully running RWBC on 2 machines (including the broadcasts) for several years the energy consumption was around ...

Re: Komodo 10.3 on Ipon

How much is 35kW in your country? Are yo from Germany right? well according to google, Germany is one of the most expensives in electricity It is about 10€. In general that is ok, it forces people to think about their energy consumption. It only hurts if your hobby is wasting energy ... testing eng...

Re: Fastest SF8 compile?

Hello all Thanks for your your proposals and help. I tried a couple of different compiles and the original one seems to be quite good! It seems that the difference between a modern C++ compiler and an ASM version is worth about 20 Elo. My personal feeling is that this is respectable but not revoluti...

Re: Fastest SF8 compile?

That doesn't work for my purpose because someone could optimise the asm code as well ...
I need a (few) general purpose SF8 C compiles with POPCNT. I like to check them on my hardware and will choose the fastest one.

Thanks anyhow
