I can only use the BLAS versions anyway, as my computer is old

Also, if you are running on blas on old hardware, you may want to check out the distilled nets.
How old is "old" with respect to needing to use BLAS or distilled nets?
My laptop doesn't have a graphic card at all :D .

Re: Question on current LC0 development

Also, if you are running on blas on old hardware, you may want to check out the distilled nets. https://github.com/dkappe/leela-chess-weights/wiki/Distilled-Networks I have checked them out. I am only running games at very slow time controls ( like game in 2 hours 10 sec increment), and though the ...

Question on current LC0 development

The 40000 design is easy to understand in a +very+ general way setup-wise from a lay viewpoint: it will lead to an extremely strong engine on current top nodge hardware. But I fail to understand what the 50000 series really is about. The resulting engines are very easy to use for me ( I can only use...

It is amazing how the ICGA officials still manage to guarantee impressive holiday locations for themselves. And yes, I am envious.

Thanks for LC0

During recent weeks I‘ve had so much fun with LC0 and watching it play. So I want to give many thanks to the developpers. But also thanks to dkappe who made the setup pretty easy or at least bearable to me with all the explanations on his site. I don’t own any powerful hardware, so I had to go with ...

Re: Senpai 2.0

I have a problem with Senpai 2.0 on my computer. I am using the latest free version of Avira Free Antivirus with Windows 10. Avira insists on identifying Senpai as a virus and it thus gets deleted. I can work around this by deactivating live protection for my computer, but as I don't want to do this...

Re: No progress part I

I have never been sure this combination is even correct. The idea is very simple, but the details are reallly extremely complicated. I guess someone will have studied and likely posted it here already. Can someone provide a link? I've never understood what made Botwinnik think that this position is ...

Re: I got the permission by Steen Surrballe (Gandalf) ...

Gandalf 7 does not work on my computer (Windows 10 64bit) with the ChessBase GUI - it terminates instantly with an exception.

Did anyone experience the same and was able to solve the problem?

Re: Best Computer Chess Program

4. normally I would never reply to a Sean Evans post, so please don't expect more on this - it was really better when you stayed away from the main forum, just throwing enormous amounts of mud into the CTF crowd, as uncle timbo, for probably 20 years... This is quite untrue. :) Sean Evans hasn't be...

Re: Chess Genius RR Champs 2017

Hello Roos, how do you run Chess Genius engines ? are they winboard compatible ? i am interesting to using Genius in other GUI as winboard or uci engine I think you misunderstood AA Ross. He is running this thing under the Chess Genius GUI !! ( and I admire his endurance to set up all these engines...
