Re: Crafty v25.2 Release

Really - how about documenting things like MAJOR changes at least ;) ? After I finally managed to get one of these binaries running on my computer I noticed that there obviously have been some changes that should be explained IMHO. Has Nalimov endgame table support been discontinued :( ? It looks a...

Re: TCEC stage 3 , New Houdini starts with a bang

You have to realize that these situations happen ALL THE TIME in engine tournaments. They just go unnoticed often. I attended 3 WCCCs as an operator. Each year I observed unexpected situations that demanded a judgement by an official. Some I agreed to, some I didn't. E.g. Crafty-Shredder Ramat-Gan 1...

Re: To MODERATORS: Please CONTINUE moving tournaments!

I think all this is easy enough to understand and judge if you think about how people who are interested in computerchess *actually* *use* this board. The "Programmer's forum" - easy enough to understand. This is about chess programming, coding and the like. If you have nothing substantial to add th...

Re: Something unnacceptable in TCEC?

Tablebase positions are automatically adjudicated, no matter if engines can seal the win/draw or not. Because CLI-Cutechess support only Gaviota, 6-men adjudication is not available. If I could vote, I will vote for TB7-Lomo adjudication to be implemented in CLI-Cutechess-TCEC. Why? This makes no s...

Re: Something unnacceptable in TCEC?

Game 17, Komodo-Laser I was watching every secoind of it at the end, and the engines did NOT agree it was a win for White (Komodo). Someone in the the comments section in chessbomb said it was a tablebase win in 53 more moves. And indeed, Komodo seemed to give that TB verdict by evaluating it as ab...

Re: Crafty chess engine

Please be a little careful not to waste your and my time. As far as I can see this is a link to a Jim(?) Ablett binary for a crafty WinBoard binary on a given Windows platform . If there is more to it, please be so kind and explain :) I'm sorry I do not understand something. Please write whether it...

Re: Crafty chess engine

No, it hasn't. You are probably using some adapter like Polyglot here which may give you this impression as Crafty works nicely no matter what.. OK - I offer to explain the Crafty options for like a week and will try to explain what various options mean. Please enter the site http://crafty0981.moon...
