Re: CEGT and TCEC pgn notation

The link in Wikipedia to the PGN standard is dead.
This one seems to work: http://www.opensource.apple.com/source/ ... andard.txt

Re: CEGT and TCEC pgn notation

Perhaps this will do: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portable_Game_Notation
Note the reference to the PGN standard definition.

Re: Arena 3.5 is out

Thanks a lot !
I have tested it a bit and it seems very nice - the only bug in my way of using it is that if you minimize the program while in infinite analyzing mode the gui clocks stops, but this is not an important matter.

Re: very hard test position for stockfish from my game

The 28... Rxc4 move gives black a draw by perpetual, so the problem might be in the perp detection.
I tested this with Critter 1.6a which has no problem finding the h4 and Rxc4 moves.

Re: very hard test position for stockfish from my game

It may seem that it is a null-move related problem. It is the move 28... Rxc4 which Stockfish doesn't find and which cause it to not find 27... h4 and so it does not see that Rd1 is not so good a move after all.

That is really no surprise. It is just good to know that it still works nicely.

Thanks again

Re: #Mat in 14

From my tests there is almost no speed gain, but with the -M <megatbytes> option it is possible to use more memory for the hash table with the 64-bit compile I think. Chest uses 64-bit entities in its calculation which could have been speeded up a lot, but because the program is designed for 32-bit ...
