Re: TCEC 10

correction:

the results were
Booot 3.0/12
K-S-H 3.0/4

same conclusion- Booot did not influence eventual outcome.

Re: TCEC 10

I looked to see if the Fizbo fiasco had a ripple effect on the results in round 2.

The beneficiary Booot scored the same vs the Big Three (0.5/2.0). No effect on the results of round 2.

Re: TCEC 10

Stockfish is first engine, which goes WHOLE season UNBEATEN!! No word on that in chessdom page? Let's compare. Komodo goes undefeated in the chess.com speed championship but misses qualifying for the final by .5 points. This goes unreported in the chess.com website. No one cares. Stockfish goes und...

Re: Looking for PGN sorting but in order of my choice

I was able to extend "merge.exe" to merge 2 to 5 "pgn" files. The link is still http://www.mediafire.com/file/zo6ufedvkcacccr/merge.exe Usage examples: merge file1.pgn file2.pgn merge file1.pgn file2.pgn file3.pgn merge file1.pgn file2.pgn file3.pgn file4.pgn merge file1.pgn file2.pgn file3.pgn file...

Re: Looking for PGN sorting but in order of my choice

I have been working on a direct tool that will merge pgn files. Right now it only merges 2 files, 1 game from each, repeatedly. Hopefully I will be able to increase that number, but that will take awhile, if at all. Here is the link: http://www.mediafire.com/file/zo6ufedvkcacccr/merge.exe Usage (in ...

Re: Komodo is now set to come top in stage one of TCEC 10

An interesting possibility is occurring. Right now, with all 23 games completed we have 3 engines with 14.5 points. Two will advance based on S-B points. So it looks like the two will be Chiron and Ginkgo who have 145.50 and 139.25. And it looks like Gull will go home because its S-B points are 137....

Re: Komodo is now set to come top in stage one of TCEC 10

There are a few more facts to the termination situation in Stage One - tcec 10. First, as it stands now with further results having occurred, Booot has 15 pts and advances. One of Gingko, Gull, and Chiron will not advance. Which one is that will depend on the completion of stage one and possibly S-B...

Re: Komodo is now set to come top in stage one of TCEC 10

The big story in round 1 has got to be Booot possibly advancing due to its "disconnection" win against Fizbo. Booot, Fire, Gull, and Chiron are fighting for positions 6-7-8. One of them won't make it. In the controversial game, Fizbo was up 2 pawns and there were bishops of opposite colors at the en...

Re: 4 years after

Yeah its sad that he passed away his site is what introduced me to computer chess learned so much from his site. Same here. Particularly his tournaments. IIRC, they were 4 round-robin, with about 18 participants in each level. Engines who did well moved up in level. Organized like soccer leagues. H...
