Any difference between analysis and engine play?

Hi all, Do pardon my ignorance. In a completed game, if I wanted to know the best move say on 25th move. Thank you for all your help. What is .val file (in addition to .mvs file)? And is this .val file of any use in creating the .ctg opening book.

What version of fruit the setting to get version 233k? Do you think it will still perform best (ahead of rybka and the rest) in long time control such as 40 moves in 120 mins?

You mentioned "A new release that is clearly better than others is not far off though". Could you provide more information, please?
For me, I am interested in longer time control such as 40 moves in 150 minutes.
