Re: stockfish 10 vs. Mephisto III S Glasgow

Ok i now understand better.
You said you have no machines, but you could emulate them on a normal pc with mess emulator.

You could emulate chess machine, Richard Lang mephistos etc.
Depends what you want.

Re: stockfish 10 vs. Mephisto III S Glasgow

The question is where do you want to go.

IMO this race about ELO and massive usage of resources is not the way computerchess should go.

NOT making the software faster is the way. But making the software more intelligent.

As mephisto III shows you can generate ELO even out of few NPS.

Re: stockfish 10 vs. Mephisto III S Glasgow

I have no idea what you talk about. I sum up: Mephisto III S Glasgow 68000 (5-10 NPS) wins against stockfish 10. Even worse Mephisto III 8 bit 1802 1-3 NPS with 6.1 MHz wins against stockfish 10. Mephisto III 8 bit 1802 1 NPS 3.5 MHz on 4 AA batteries wins against stockfish 10 too. Ic0 plays better...

Re: stockfish 10 vs. Mephisto III S Glasgow

What is MC69030 @20 Mhz ??

And what is your point. Mephisto III uses an 8 Bit cpu with 3.5 or 6 MHz.

Re: stockfish 10 vs. Mephisto III S Glasgow

Experiment: People have told you so many times that those are not relevant because what is a node for Mesphito is nothing like what is a node for Stockfish? I hold that any decent programmer could make an engine that completely destroys Mephisto while searching even less nodes than Mephisto, but it...

Re: stockfish 10 vs. Mephisto III S Glasgow

Experiment: Mephisto III 8 bit 3.5 MHz on 4 mignon (AA) batteries. When on batteries the clock speed is reduced from 6.1 to 3.5 MHz. On that level it makes 1 (!!!). NPS. Level 6 = 40/120 or 3 minutes a move. I put stockfish10 on 180 Nodes per move. [Event "Computer Schach Partie"] [Site "ORION8"] [D...
