Re: Exist a posibility to play against MK V (1981 computerworldchampion) on PC?

Would be nice to see mkvi, that was transferred as emulation, into uci.

Also cyrus 68000, the successor on better hardware.

Those b strategy programs are interesting to play against.

Re: Forbidden

I can also only log in using a proxy that pretends to be in the US. Login from Germany fails. Folks, this IP based banning is outright stupid . It does not stop hackers , rather regular users. And no, whitelisting IPs is not an option either because as anyone should know, consumer contracts have a ...

Re: Forbidden

This is surely just a temporary situation, so as they say here, "keep calm and carry on" :) A couple of months back the same thing happened, the forum was unreachable from most parts of the world for almost a week. It is very annoying that the hosting provider just does this without notifying us an...

Re: Forbidden

I just wanted to point out, that the difficulties can't be as big as e.g. Thorsten keeps telling us, if everybody having had some problems for a little while, has found ways to log in again now. ... But using a VPN is not 100% functionality guaranteed. e.g. You cannot use further continuing links, ...

Re: Forbidden

I think it is easy to make our Forum and all CEGT lists only reachable for people living in Germany - or if you use VPN with a German server. Thank you, Werner, but I was just kidding, I didn't have any problems to log in at all with my Austrian provider till now. I just wanted to point out, that t...

Re: Forbidden

to

https://www.open-chess.org

the forum is international and open to ALL members.

Re: Erratic eval from both A/B and NN in a single game.

don't take my criticism personally. i am only against the PGN representation because it is machine shit. Here as an example a PGN output done by ARENA (free chess gui) on my machines. Take a look how readable it is even for humans: [Event "i7"] [Site "ORION8"] [Date "2014.01.09"] [Round "1"] [White ...

Re: Erratic eval from both A/B and NN in a single game.

stop posting these ugly pgn files. one gets eye cancer by watching at it.
buy or download yourself a chess GUI that produces normal PGN score.
there are plenty chess GUIs that can do it better.

Re: Erratic eval from both A/B and NN in a single game.

For the record, PGN was intended to be readable by both humans AND computers. NOT just computers. :) That almost made my head explode. Yes I think that is chessbase format, and I agree not easy to read. Cutechess pgns and Stefan's Shredder GUI pgns are very understandable. This chessbase format is ...

Re: Forbidden

Many people can't access this forum anymore. IMO we should put it on another server or use another host that the people (computerchess friends) can access the computerchess forum again. this situation is not acceptable. when we founded this forum many years ago we did not do it to ban whole countrie...
