Re: CoronaVirusChess

Than move this into the help and suggestions (!!!) forum and I am Sure you will get some help. IMO these whole postings are off topic in the main CCC area. When I see a topic: CoronaVirusChess and then I read how you want to discuss punishments or brainstorming about moderation issues I am fooled by...

Re: CoronaVirusChess

... So what do you want to discuss ? Shall we handcuff Chris and throw him into the channel and see if he swims ? Or do you prefer to burn him on a stake like Giordano Bruno because he is not believing that the earth is the center of our Sun system, or do you ask him like Galileo Galilei if he conf...

Re: CoronaVirusChess

In a computerchess Forum, if there is a breach against the charter, you moderate it.
And not discuss off topic about it,

In an off topic forum (CTF), you can discuss these issues in public.

So you now want to change CCC into CTF ?

Re: CoronaVirusChess

Since when are moderators allowed to discuss moderator issues in public ? What you do is called a Public tribunal, not a „feedback“. Instead of moderating the forum you create off topic postings. That’s unprofessional and obviously another attempt to execute people you tried to get rid in your campa...

Re: ProDeo (A Crazy Idea)

Have the position now on my Monte Carlo IV.

In ply 8 it sees c4 bxc4 Dxc Nxc4 qd5 Nd6+ But Evaluates this with 0.12 plus.
It’s now computing arround 2h in ply 8.

Re: CoronaVirusChess

Its off topic in a computerchess forum.

You can discuss this in internal admin / moderator forum (or via PM) but discussing moderation issues in PUBLIC is inquisition.

Instead you should try with computerchess content.
If you are capable to to do.

Re: CoronaVirusChess

I am irritated that a computerchess Forum suddenly discusses moderation actions in public instead of posting computerchess topics. Has the forum changed into Computer Inquisition Forum because Sam or HGM or Ras have nothing else constructive to say other then discuss moderation issues in public. If ...

Re: ProDeo (A Crazy Idea)

Here an interesting game that shows an interesting „problem“ where MMV made a mistake with a natural move [Event "Match Nr. 57"] [Site "Zürich"] [Date "2020.??.??"] [Round "17"] [White "Scorpio 68000 sel. 4"] [Black "Mephisto MM V HG 550"] [Result "1-0"] [ECO "C11"] [WhiteElo "2080"] [BlackElo "1995...

Re: ProDeo (A Crazy Idea)

I retired somewhere in 2003/4 and Rebel (paid) became ProDeo (for free in Dutch), I got my hobby back. To improve playing strength there is no need to write the engine from scratch, just plunder the Stockfish search  Instead I prefer to keep a low profile and concentrate on experiments and ad...
