Carefull, this is not our friend Chris Whittington's Chess System Tal, but their own "Chess Tal", which appears to be a different program than CSTal. I had actually never heard of it :)

Re: Free Chess program in Android

Thanks Julien! Now I understand this program, which sometimes do very sharp moves and sometimes looks like a 1500 player at most. One way or another is a hard bone to bite.....I am just just trying to get a place to download the Pc version... a hug Fern You're welcome. :) Yes, judging by the wiki, ...

Re: Free Chess program in Android

On their website they have several chess engines published since 2004. Their latest one is Treebeard. It's probably the one embedded in their "Free Chess" app... http://www.aifactory.co.uk http://www.aifactory.co.uk/AIF_Games_Chess_Treebeard.htm And as for the guilty one responsible for the chess en...

Re: Battlechess is really back, after all !

Great news. I'm a bit confused by steam, does Battle chess run on a normal PC, or just one with a steam OS ? If it runs on the PC presumably you need a Steam app? And why do they say a new windows based Battle chess is coming? Also - do we know anything about the AI? Steam games work perfectly on W...

Re: Magnus Carlsen vs. iPad Air 2 - Who would win?

Hi Mehmet. You can post positions directly without needing to take screenshots, by writing " [d] " followed with the FEN string of the position. Like this : [d]r3qb1k/1b4p1/p2pr2p/3n4/Pnp1N1N1/6RP/1B3PP1/1B1QR1K1 w - - 0 1 It's also better because people can then copy/paste this string in their favo...

Battlechess is really back, after all !

http://cdn.steampowered.com/v/gfx/apps/200150/capsule_467x181.jpg It seemed that, after their failure last year to raise enough money on Kickstarter, Interplay had cancelled the new BattleChess. Well, guess what ? It's back ! They've put it on early access on steam ! :) Actually, they did it on mar...

Re: World Chess Championship 2014

At least Anand tried, today. There's no shame losing this game, as he had no choice but to take risks. Not trying harder in the previous game, in the other hand, was more condamnable. I think Anand played stronger in this match than last year. He clearly improved his game against Carlsen.

Re: do to a person in france we have lots of new results:

I tried that, but Arena complains the module is 64 bits and the OS is 32 bits and says it can't load the module. OK it means your Windows OS is 32bit. Just update it to 64bit and run Stockfish64 again. I'm interested to see how much % is the 64bit gain :) Sorry, no can do. I don't want to lose the ...
